I stopped by Anime Milwaukee on the last day to photograph some of the costumes. I love seeing people dress up and remake themselves into their favorite characters.
The day didn’t yield the burst of colorful images I had hoped for. My camera may be in the last stages of its useful life. For some reason, during my last couple of shoots, it has reset itself to black and white images. Usually, I look at my screen after the first few images. I’m sure I looked at some early point, but the black and white images didn’t register until I was ready to leave.
I had shot one of my favorite cartoon characters, Ang, Avatar, The Last Airbender in black and white. Not only that, the images were blown out as I positioned Ang in a dapple of sunshine.
After that, I fixed my settings and photographed an equal amount of people in color.
